More than 7 years ago, Lisa Bacon took her first pole class at iCandy. At first she was hesitant to walk through the door, but now reflects on that class first as one of the best things she’s ever done.
“I’ve been hooked ever since!” she says. “I loved the supportive instructors and the fun dances. I left every class with multiple blisters, bruises, and sore muscles, so I knew I was getting a great workout.”
Even after 7 years, Lisa attends class regularly. “iCandy has always been a safe haven for me,” she says. “I sweat, laugh, and struggle but always leave so inspired. Everyone is so encouraging.”
Her favorite class is Pole Only with Heather on Wednesday nights, whom Lisa says has always been a huge inspiration to her. “Class is so much fun, I forget it’s exercise…but my Fitbit tells me I burn up to 600 calories! I’ve gained so much confidence and have lost a lot of weight over the last year.”
“Beautiful inside and out, Lisa is one of the original members of the iCandy family,” says Christie, one of iCandy’s owners. “No matter what is going on in her life she always comes in with a smile ready to have fun and dance. You can’t help but feel better when she is around. We feel honored that she continues to support iCandy whether it be by taking classes or running with us for the Sparkle Stride.”
Lisa loves iCandy so much that she even had her bachelorette party here. “I’m proud to be a part of iCandy and I look forward to class every week,” she says. “Thank you, iCandy, for the years of motivation and fun!”
