This one hour mixed level class will consist of a warmup, technique breakdown and drills, and a dance routine. We learn a dance over the course of 4 weeks, each week reviewing what we learned the previous week(s) and then learning a new section. This class is for those who want to learn the art of belly dancing as well as for students who want to master techniques like body rolls, shimmies and hip undulations. All fitness and experience levels are welcome.
What to Wear
We recommend that students wear workout tops that are not loose fitting (tank tops, crop tops etc). Comfortable workout bottoms like yoga pants are fine but looser bottoms like harem pants or even long skirts are appropriate for this class. Hip scarves are provided but not required. Students can bring their own hip scarves if preferred.
